Seven Police personnel killed in Zamfara

Terrorists operating in Zamfara state and environ have killed no fewer than seven police personnel  after they ambushed the police along the Tofa-Magami road in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Terrorist, armed to the hilt, have been attacking, maiming and stealing from residents of the state at both day and night. Their aim, it has been proven, was to make money and steal from miners of gold and other minerals in the state.

The incident was said to have occurred around 6:00 pm on Monday when the police operatives were patrolling the area.

The bandits were said to have ambushed the police operatives, killing seven of them and setting ablaze the operational vehicle.

Typical of them, the bandits were said to number about 100 and they engaged the police personnel in a gun battle during which seven fell to the fire power of the terrorists.
