Police parade two serving soldiers, one dismissed soldier, 6 others as suspects behind kidnap of CBN Governor’s wife

Admin October 10, 2016

kidnappersThe Nigerian Police Force, Monday, paraded nine persons alleged to be kidnappers of CBN Governor’s Wife, Margret. The police also displayed huge amount of money as well as items recovered from the suspects, two of whom were said to be serving soldiers, another a dismissed soldier, and the rest miscreants with a long history of crime.

The military identity of the some of the suspects lends credence to opinion among a generality of Nigerians that given the sophisticated nature of kidnapping in the country these days, most of the actions may have the imprimatur of trained service men. Last week, some kidnappers invaded a Lagos State model college in Igbonla in Epe area of the state and abducted the principal and some students.

Witnesses of the Lagos episode said the abductors were swift, coordinated and professional in the manner they struck.
