Nigeria tests 76,802 samples as active cases reaches 8,173

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, says 76,802 COVID-19 samples have been tested in the country.

The NCDC disclosed this in its COVID-19 Nigeria State situation report on Sunday night.

According to the report, “On the 7th of June 2020, 260 new confirmed cases in 20 States and 12 deaths were recorded in Nigeria”.

“Till date, 12,486 cases have been confirmed, 3,959 cases have been discharged and 354 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory”.

It noted further that no new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
