The Zamfara State Government has debunked a reported attack on a school in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement by the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, Mohammed Shehu, said the news is a figment of the imagination of the writers who are trying to insert fear and confusion into the minds of the public

“What happened in that environment was a case of Farmers/ Herders clash.

“No casualty was recorded except a minor skirmish which was brought under control by the police”.

He noted that the case is under investigation by the Command’s State CID. and will be charged to court as soon as possible.

According to him a combined team of policemen led by the DPO responded promptly and are currently on confidence-building patrols to avoid escalation.

He urged members of the public to remain calm without any fear or apprehension.
