Yudala Wins NCC Mobile Economy, HP Awards

Admin December 6, 2015

Yudala logoBarely four months after its bold entry into the sector, Yudala, Nigeria’s first true composite online and offline retail chain, has received a number of awards and recognitions as justification for a series of innovative and landmark strides which have gone a long way in expanding the Nigerian e-commerce and offline retail space.

On Friday December 4th, Yudala had shone like a million stars at the NCC Mobile Economy Summit/Awards (NiMES) held at the Function Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan where the company had been honoured as the Most Innovative/Disruptive e-commerce company in Nigeria.

This is coming on the heels of the encomiums and recognitions received by the company at the recent Hewlett Packard (HP) Celebration of Stars event at the Civic Center, Victoria Island on Saturday, November 28th 2015 where Yudala had received the best computing partner FY15 HP/Intel award and best computing partner FY 15 HP/AMD award.

Vice President, Yudala Online, Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, who was on hand to receive the Most Innovative/Disruptive e-commerce company award at the NiMES Summit noted that Nigerian are yet to see the full range of the Yudala revolution as, according to him, what is being unveiled at the moment is only about 10% of the company’s retail strategy.

“Yudala is an innovation-driven platform which is set to change the face of e-commerce and offline retail in the country and the African continent, by extension. Although we are just about four months old, I must stress here that we come with great experience and global know-how represented by the calibre of renowned hands and expertise driving the business as well as our sound technological back-bone and master logistics plan.

“We recently wrote our names in the history books with the first ever drone delivery in Nigeria and Africa as part of our first ever Black Friday sales and this is only a tip of the iceberg, as far as we are concerned. Infact, all we have achieved so far in just a little space of time is only about 10% of our strategy and road-map which is targeted at dictating the pace in the Nigerian retail sector,” he said.

Asked to shed more light on how the drone delivery, which has captured the imagination of the entire country was made possible, Prince Nnamdi affirmed that the initiative was in line with the company’s bold ambition to set new milestones for the e-commerce business in Nigeria.

“At Yudala, we are driven by the desire to offer Nigerians more value for money by providing world-class options in product and service delivery. As we all know, delivery is one of the biggest challenges holding back the growth of e-commerce in this part of the world. With these drones which we are still test-running, we have expanded the delivery aspect of the business and raised the bar for others to look up to and try to emulate.”

Since its entry into the market a little over four months ago, Yudala has expanded the retail space with several innovative campaigns including the Neighbour to Neighbour Mega Deals, Gyming with the Stars and October Mid-Day Madness, among others through which it has delivered on its mandate of providing genuine products and services to its consumers.

With its headquarters in Nigeria, Yudala which means Best wishes, Peace of mind and Prosperity has carved a niche for itself by being the first organization to combine a real-time online shopping platform with offline stores located in major cities across the country, with further expansion into other major African capitals. Backed by its multi-pronged yet standardized business model, the company has a bold ambition to dictate the pace and set new milestones for online and offline retail business, with the delivery of world class products and services in every Yudala store and on the online platform.
