Wailing and cries wafted through the milieu as workers in a construction site in Itokan in Abeokuta were trapped in yet another building collapse, weeks after a similar incident in Lekki Lagos claimed the lives of many.
Emergency workers on rescue mission to the site have been trying to rescue the workers whose plight remains unknown and their number yet to be ascertained as at the time of this report.
The building was meant for a shopping complex in the Itoku area of the state capital.
Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State who visited the scene has promised to investigate the cause of the collapse.
