Tudun Biri Army drone attack: 65 patients discharged from Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital – CMD

Prof. Abdulkadir Tabari, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna State says 65 victims of the unfortunate Tudun Biri Army drone attack have been discharged from the hospital.

Tabari said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Monday in Kaduna.

The CMD said that 71 patients were brought to the hospital after the Dec. 3, 2023 unfortunate incident.

He said that out of the 71 victims, one died after 24 hours.

“Five other victims are still on admission and recuperating .

“We have three patients while two others are at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital.

President Bola Tinubu had ordered an investigation into a military drone strike that killed 85 civilians gathered for a religious celebration.

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, had assured that probe into the unfortunate death of some residents of Tudun Biri, as a result of drone strike will be transparent.

The had described the incident as highly regrettable and promised that the Armed Forces of Nigeria would also punish any personnel found culpable in the incident after the conclusion of the independent investigation ordered by President Bola Tinubu.

The National Emergency Management Agency said 85 dead bodies have so far been buried. (NAN)
