Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) intercepted a major logistics consignment meant for Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters on Tuesday, arresting two suspected suppliers at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area, Yobe State.

The successful interception was carried out by troops of the 159 Battalion, Sector 2 OPHK, alongside allied security elements.

The joint force acted on credible human intelligence regarding the movement of supplies intended for terrorist cells operating across the Yunusari-Mobbar general area.

A comprehensive search of the consignment yielded a massive array of motorcycle spare parts critical to sustaining insurgent mobility. Recovered items included:

Engine and Electrical Components: Crankshafts, piston kits, CDI units, coils, rectifiers, rocker arms, clutch plates, and fuel system parts.

Maintenance and Hardware: Motorcycle tyres, gaskets, bearings, oil seals, chains, sprockets, speedometers, brake components, and cables.

General Goods: 145 pairs of footwear and 2 Tecno Android smartphones.

Both suspects and the seized items have been transferred to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation.

Captain Mohammed Goni, Acting Military Information Officer for Headquarters OPHK, confirmed the arrest in a statement from Maiduguri.

He emphasised that dismantling supply chains remains vital to weakening terrorist operations across the North East theatre and urged the public to keep sharing timely intelligence with security forces.
