Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Operation Whirl Stroke, have apprehended two alleged logistics suppliers to bandits and two suspected armed robbers during coordinated operations in Benue State on Tuesday, October 28.
According to a statement released on Wednesday in Makurdi by Lt. Ahmad Zubairu, Acting Media Information Officer for Headquarters JTF Operation Whirl Stroke, the operations targeted criminal elements in Katsina-Ala and Ukum Local Government Areas (LGAs).

The two suspected logistics suppliers were arrested in the Abaji community of Katsina-Ala LGA. Lt. Zubairu identified the suspects as 24-year-old Tertser Terngu and 15-year-old Aondongu Tersoo, both residents of Tersoo Village.
Military authorities allege that the duo specialized in providing logistical support to a prominent bandit leader operating across the River Yooyo area in Katsina-Ala. Both suspects remain in custody, undergoing preliminary investigation and processing prior to hand-over to civil authorities.
In a separate action, troops responding to a distress call intercepted an ongoing robbery along the Kyado-Wukari Road in Jootar Village, Ukum LGA.
Upon receiving intelligence around 2:16 p.m., the patrol team mobilized to the scene, where local Volunteer Guards had already detained two armed robbery suspects.
Items recovered from the suspects include:
One (1) locally fabricated pistol
Seven (7) rounds of 7.62mm PKT ammunition
One (1) pair of scissors
