As part of effort to celebrate and honour outstanding Nigerian children, The Top10 Magazine will in October this year host its maiden wonder kids awards. In a release by The Top10 Magazine, the Nigeria Wonder Kids Awards is being organized to celebrate and honour outstanding Nigerian children in recognition of their uncommon initiatives, talent, and exemplary accomplishments in different fields of endeavour such as academic excellence, entertainment, sports, business and entrepreneurship, art, social enterprise, etc.
The event which is slated for October, 2018 in Lagos will bring together under one roof, the best of Nigeria’s specially gifted and talented children from diverse background who have excelled as super stars and role models in different fields of endeavour. It promises to be the biggest convergence of Nigerian child prodigies doing extra-ordinary things by contributing to the development of Nigeria at their early ages.
The objective according to the organizers is to celebrate ingenuity of the Nigerian child with the view to inspiring others to aspire to be the best in every chosen endeavour where they can contribute to the greatest good of the society.
It is planned to be an engaging event aimed at showcasing best of the Nigerian talented prodigies from different background to be graced by crème de la crème of the society and other invited guests drawn from corporate organizations, reputable schools, and government functionaries from both federal and state levels.
According to the organizers, there are two categories of the awards. Firstly, Kids Excellence Awards, which is to bestowed honour and recognition on 10 wonder kids that came top in ranking in the various shortlisted award categories. Secondly, Kids Development Support Awards, which is to bestowed honour and recognition on 10 corporate organizations in recognition of their outstanding support of initiatives for kids development and provision of children related products and services.
The award is a follow up to the recently released kiddies’ edition of the magazine which celebrated top 10 kids that came top in a national survey conducted by The Top10 Magazine. The 10 children that came top in that exercise will also receive their certificate of recognition at the award night.
