A notorious and dreaded kidnap kingpin declared wanted by the police simply nicknamed Evans, has been arrested in Lagos.
He was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport on Saturday by eagle-eyed policemen while he was on his way to jet out of the country.
Evans was said to be behind many high profile abductions in the Lagos area. Intelligence sources said he lives a lavish lifestyle, lodges at highbrow hotels and loves expensive cars and women.
The police recently placed N30m bounty on him after the arrest of some of his gang members.
Police say he usually forced his victims to pay at least N50m before they were release.
