Police confirms abduction of 2 from Church in Ogun

The Police in Ogun, have confirmed the abduction of two persons from the Celestial Church of Christ, Wasimi, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun, by gunmen.

Spokesperson of the Command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Ota, said that the police were on top of the situation.

The gunmen had on Monday, at 11.00 p.m., entered into the Church and kidnapped two worshippers, Oluwaseun Ajose and Dagunro Ayobami.

Oyeyemi said that the police were already on the trail of the gunmen who abducted the worshippers.

“We are making efforts to ensure that the two abducted persons were rescued alive.

“The Police is committed to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state without any fear or favour,” Oyeyemi said.(NAN)
