With results from 331 of the 332 wards in Osun state out, Governor Ademola Adeleke has remained in clear lead as results from the remaining wards across the state are being collated.

The Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that results from 331 of the 332 wards in the state had been uploaded, while 93.47 per cent of polling-unit results had so far been captured.

The results showed that Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate and incumbent governor, has polled 461,876 votes, representing 49.7 per cent of the valid votes recorded so far.

Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 404,713 votes, representing 43.6 per cent. Barring any unforeseen circumstance, Adeleke will be declared winner by INEC considering his statewide performance and his current lead by 57,163 votes.
