The Federal Government has ordered closure of all National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, orientation camps in the country on Wednesday.

This was announced announced by the Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare.

According to the Minister, this is part of FG’s precautionary steps to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

He noted that all corps members are to be paid and sent to their Places of Primary Assignment.

The FG had on Tuesday also banned all government officials from embarking on foreign trips as the world continues to battle COVID-19.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, made the declaration on Tuesday after the inaugural meeting of the Presidential Task Force Team on the COVID-19.

He also urged Nigerians coming in from outside the country to self-isolate themselves for 14 days to ensure they do not pose a threat to their immediate environment.

The President also on Tuesday approved the postponement of the National Sports Festival Tagged: Edo 2020
