NESH intensifies advocacy for N1trn Industry Equity Fund for SMEs

Mr. Emeka Ugwu-Oju, Founder of the Nigeria and Entrepreneurship: Summit & Honors (NESH) Foundation has taken his advocacy for the setting up of a N1 trillion Nigeria SME Industry Equity Fund for SMEs to the Senate and Ministry of Finance.

The Fund is to be professionally managed by the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA).

To this end, NESH paid a visit to the President of Senate, His Excellency, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, in his office at the National Assembly.

In attendance was Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senate Minority Leader and Founder, Made in Aba Trade Fair, Abuja. During the visit, Mr. Ugwu-Oju, presented to the Senate President, the Communique issued at the end of the 5th NESH-NXT Annual Conference for Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs, which endorsed the proposed Fund.

NESH also paid a visit to the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, in her office at Abuja.

During the visit, Mr.  Ugwu-Oju,  also presented to the Minister the Communique issued at the end of the 5th NESH-NXT Annual Conference for Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs, which endorsed the proposed Fund.
