At NCC Forum, EFCC Charges Ebonyi Residents to Report Cybercrime to Commission

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has charged citizens to report electronic fraud cases to the Commission for investigation.

Chief Superintendent of EFCC, Idoko Stephen Etubi, Head of Cybercrime Section at the Enugu Zonal Command of the Commission, stated this in a sensitisation message to participants at the Nigerian Communications Commission’s- organised awareness event at Abakaliki International Market, Ebonyi State, tagged “shine your eyes no fall mugu”.

Etube who represented the Zonal Commander, ACE1 Naibi Aliyu, said, “Immediately you see something say something and EFCC will do something because all those people wey dey do una yahoo-yahoo na we dey fight them for una.

In his welcome address, the Head, Consumer Protection and Advocacy Unit, Consumer Affairs Bureau, Clement Omife said effective collaboration among government agencies, private organisations and individuals was critical in tackling the scourge of electronic fraud.
