The governor gave the charge while inaugurating immunisation exercise for the month of November at Panshekara Ward in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano.

Represented by the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Kabiru Getso, the governor said there was need for parents to support in sustaining the successes recorded in immunisation in the state.

He added that the state had recorded over 52 months now without any case of wild polio virus in all the local government areas in the state.

The governor also stressed the importance of regular environmental hygiene to guard against infectious diseases in the communities.
