Ibrahim Babangida
Rumoured dead, former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida, Wednesday evening spoke from Germany, saying he is alive. Babangida broke the silence to rest rumour of his death on live programme on Television Continental, TVC, via phone from Germany asserting that “I am alive.”
Speaking with the anchor person on the programme, ‘Journalist Hangout,’ IBB said he is hale and hearty and not dead as being speculated. Babangida said he would soon return to the country.
Speculation about his death was rife on Tuesday and Wednesday. Not even assurances from his confidants that he is alive helped to douse the wild rumour. But it was gathered that he has been battling with health challenges for a while and only went to Germany for health checks and bed rest.
