A Federal High Court in Ibadan, on Monday, ordered the remand of one Isaac Busuyi, 49, after he pleaded guilty to concealing information about arms dealing from security agencies.

Busuyi, who is being prosecuted by the Department of State Service (DSS), had pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of concealment of information from security agencies.

Consequently, Justice Uche Agomoh ordered the defendant to be remanded in Agodi Correctional Centre and adjourned the matter until April 27 for review of facts and sentencing.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, Mr. T.A. Nurudeen told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Dec. 7, at Gbopa area, Ido Local Government Area of Oyo state.

Nurudeen said that Busuyi was fully aware of the fact that one suspected terrorist known simply as Peter was into transaction of arms and ammunition, thus dealing with terrorists, but refused to report same to security agencies.

According to the prosecutor, the offence contravene the provisions of Section 1271 of the Terrorism Prohibition and Prevention Act 2022. (NAN)
