Huge Traffic Heralds Yudala Online Launch… Website Gets Hits from Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia

Admin August 31, 2015

yudala brandA few minutes after it went live, Monday, the website of Yudala, Nigeria’s first true composite retail chain, experienced huge traffic and unprecedented hits from various parts of the country and reportedly from some neighbouring African countries including Ghana, Cameroon and The Gambia.

Millions of enthusiastic shoppers eager to take advantage of the mega deals as well as the mouth-watering discounts and freebies on offer had besieged the e-commerce platform immediately it officially went live at 12 noon.

A massive buzz was generated on various media platforms including radio, TV, newspapers and social media/blogs as the countdown wound down to the official launch of Yudala Online. This undoubtedly attracted an overwhelming number of hits from interested shoppers and bargain hunters which ultimately led to the disruption encountered on the website.

Among its many offerings, Yudala had promised daily sweet deals of up to 90% off on a number of products till the 5th of September, free phones for purchases above N20,000 plus a social media campaign centred around the 2015 model Yudala-branded Rolls Royce spotted at the local wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport.

According to the Management of the company, the website will be back up in a few hours as their in-house Tech Gurus are working round the clock to resolve the challenge caused by the unprecedented turn-out on the site, while thanking Nigerians for their overwhelming support and interest in the brand.

Yudala, which holds the enviable status of being the first company to combine an e-commerce platform with offline retail stores located nationwide, had successfully launched its Offline Stores Division in a glamorous and well-attended event on July 25th before following it up with the unveiling of its e-commerce platform on Monday and the roll-out of more physical retail stores in various locations across the country. These locations include Abuja, Owerri, Asaba, Warri, Port Harcourt, Ibadan and Uyo.

Yudala enjoys strong partnership and comparative advantage for products from major brands including HP, Apple, Lenovo, Tecno Mobile, INNJOO, Infinix, X-Touch, Wiko Phones, SONY, YEZZ, DELL, Philips, ITEL, IBM, Microsoft, APC Schneider, Cisco, Canon, D-Link and many more in the ICT space, with the company expected to roll out additional product lines such as Consumer Lifestyle, Urbane Fashion, Food, Wines and Spirits, Healthy Living Products, Consumer Electronics and many more in segments soon.

With its headquarters in Nigeria, Yudala which means Best wishes, Peace of mind and Prosperity has carved a niche for itself by being the first organization to combine a real-time online shopping platform with offline stores located in major cities across the country, with further expansion into other major African capitals. Backed by its multi-pronged yet standardized business model, the company has a bold ambition to dictate the pace and set new milestones for online and offline retail business, with the delivery of world class products and services in every Yudala store and on the online platform.
