Delta-born Kellyrae has emerged the winner of the Big Brother Naija season 9 ‘No Loose Guard’ edition and his victory enjoys a wide acclamation from netizens and followers of the programme. He polled 35.95% of the votes to beat Wanni who got 32.48 while third placed Onyeka scored 11.46 percent.

He beat Wanni who came second and third-place Onyeka to emerge winner on a colourful night.

Velvety-voice  Kellyrae goes home with a cash prize of N60million and a brand new car worth N40m bringing the total prize money to N100m.

Ahead of the grand finale, most fans had projected Kellyrae to win “because he deserves the money and he’s talented and showed discipline in the house,” some netizens argued.

Kellyrae came into the show along with his wife, Kassia, as the only married couple, a historical dimension to the Nigerian version of the reality TV show.

Kassia got evicted in the penultimate week and had since been campaigning for her husband.

The first edition of BBNaija, held in 2006, was won by 38-year-old Katung Aduwak. Delta-born Efe Ejeba took home the title in Season 2 themed ‘See Gobe’ , competing alongside housemates like Bisola (second place), Kemen, and TBoss.

Kellyrae, a talented singer, musician, songwriter and producer had said he would use part of the money to pursue his dream in music.
