Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas has urged African parliaments to work towards providing legislation that will grow investments in agriculture and guarantee food security on the Continent.
He stated this while addressing the third plenary session of the 18th Commonwealth Speakers’ and Presiding Officers’ Conference holding in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
He however noted that parliaments on the continent could address some of the issues causing food crisis such as climate change and poor infrastructure.
