Fayose Has Mental Problem, Oyegun Alleges; Defends Buhari’s Foreign Trips

Admin April 18, 2016

Chief-John-Oyegun-360x225The national Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, weekend, rose in stout defence of President Muhammadu Buhari’s foreign trips, saying it was in the interest of the nation and for national economic recovery.

He chided the likes of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State and other critics saying such critics need to have their heads examined.

Oyegun said  Fayose was ignorant of the enormity of the problems facing the nation, stressing that Buhari’s foreign trips have shored up investor confidence and attracted grants and foreign direct investments to the country. He spoke with reporters in Benin City.

The APC chair condemned the 16 years rule of the opposition PDP, dismissing it as the worst 16 years of the nation. He said the APC government was working hard to restore the lost glory of Nigeria and that Buhari’s foreign trips was one of the ways to do.

Oyegun alluded to the forces of darkness and economic saboteurs opposed to the nation’s growth and development who were intent on frustrating the efforts of the Buhari  government. He urged Nigerians to ignore such critics.

He said: “Most people do not recognise the very sorry state of the nation’s economy and the fact that the country’s economy was run aground and crashed, which contributed in no small measure to the crash of crude oil from N120 per barrel to a miserable N30 to N40 per barrel at the international market.”

Fayose had been vocal against the frequent trips of Mr. President. Recently, he wrote a letter to the Chinese government not to grant Buhari the loan of $2billion he requested for. President Buhari had since returned to the country optimistic that the Chinese government would make good its promise to make Nigeria $6billion richer in investments.
