DSS Sacks Ogar, 44 Directors

Admin September 3, 2015

Marilyn ogarThe Department of State Services (DSS) has sacked its former spokesperson, Ms Marilyn Ogar and 44 other top directors in the security agency.

Marilyn Ogar who was the former deputy director of the agency was removed two months ago and equally lost her promotion following President Muhammadu Buhari’s nullification of the exercise upon assumption in office. She was very vocal during the campaign for the 2015 general election and was perceived by a section of the polity as too partisan against the APC. At a time, the APC machinery accused her of being the spokesperson for the then incumbent PDP government.

It is therefore believed that secret service former spokesperson’s fate may not be unconnected with her alleged role in the last administration and the run-up to the 2015 election.

Ogar frontally took on Lai Mohammed, the spokesman of the APC and both threw jabs at each other. She was elevated by the Goodluck Jonathan at the twilight of his exit from office.
