The Director General of the Anioma PDP Popular Mobilizers, Comrade Fidelis Chimokwu, the Executives and the entire members of the group have declare their support for Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Speaker Delta State House of Assembly to succeed Governor Okowa.
Oborevwori is a frontrunner in the forthcoming PDP guber primary in Delta PDP for the 2023 election.
According to a statement issued by the group: “This endorsement is coming after wide consultation with the stakeholders and leaders of our great party the PDP.
“During this endorsement the DG of the group noted that it is now pertinent to support the Rt Honorable Speaker to consolidate on the massive infrastructural and human capital development of the governor Okowa-led government.
“He also stressed that today in Delta State we have made significant progress as a result of the commitment and passionate leadership of His Excellency Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, therefore the need for consolidation.
“Today the state is peaceful and on its path to industrial revolution. As a group we have seen a true young and talented leader who has served in various capacities, who under his leadership as the Speaker, House of Assembly so many people-oriented policies have been implemented.
“Under his watch, the legislative arm of government in the state has always been supportive and collaborative with the executive coupled with so many good innovations introduced for effective law making.
“The Anioma PDP Popular Mobilizers forum has also buttressed the fact that it has resolved to follow His Excellency Governor Okowa, anywhere he goes.”
