Buhari resumes Monday, “fit as a fiddle”

Admin June 19, 2016

Buhari during his former trip to UK

PRESIDENT BUHARI DEPARTS FOR UKFully recuperated President Muhammadu Buhari  will resume Monday morning, Presidency sources confirmed to Political Economist. A Presidency source told our correspondent that the “President is not fit as a fiddle and would be on duty from Monday to continue the great work he is doing”.

Buhari had  failed to report for duty Thursday June 16 fuelling speculation that his sick leave may be more than treatment for ear infection. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, announced to an expectant nation Thursday that the President will now return to Nigeria on Sunday to resume duty Monday,  .

The President was originally billed to return from London on Wednesday and to resume work Thursday.

The Vice President told State House correspondents prior to the commencement of the monthly National Economic Council meeting (NEC) in Abuja that the President will now return to the country on Sunday and be ready for work on Monday.

Osinbajo, said he spoke with President Buhari, assuring that he is in perfect health.

“The President will be back on Sunday. I spoke with him yesterday (Wednesday) evening and I think it is just the best that he takes the weekend off. He will certainly be back on Sunday.

“I think the most straightforward thing is when he will be back. He will be back on Sunday. There is no point rushing back on Friday or something like that.

“He will just take the weekend off and be back on Sunday. He is in perfect health and ready to resume work on Monday morning. So we expect him back on Sunday,” Osinbajo said.

Many prominent APC politicians including ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu had taken turns to visit the President in London where he had gone to rest and get medicare on a niggling ear problem.
