With Borno, Jigawa and Anambra States recording one case of coronavirus each, this brings the number of States currently battling with the COVID-19 Pandemic to 22, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease, NCDC’s latest report on Sunday.
Recall that the Director General of the NCDC, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu said NCDC will continue to be transparent with its operations as it battles the coronavirus but emphasised that the virus “will circulate in Nigeria, absolutely no doubt.”
The NCDC on Sunday in a series of tweets confirmed 86 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing Nigeria’s total infections to 627.
Eighty-six new cases of #COVID19 have been reported;
70 in Lagos
7 in FCT
3 in Katsina
3 in Akwa Ibom
1 in Jigawa
1 in Bauchi
1 in Borno
One case previously reported in Kano was transferred to Jigawa state.
