APC national secretariat

All is not well with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, as armed policemen and officers of the Department of State Service, DSS, in four patrol vans have taken over the entry and exit points of its national secretariat in Abuja.
APC had been enmeshed in crisis following the outcome of the recently conducted congresses in which officers at ward, local government and state Excos were elected.
In some states, parallel congresses were conducted and attempts by the party national leadership to patch up the cracks have yielded no success, with some members threatening court actions and protests.
Feelers suggest that a protest was going to be staged at the national secretariat and this may have prompted the deployment of security personnel to both the entry and exit points of the secretariat.
No official of the APC was readily available to comment on the development.
