Anyone associated with the IMN, furtherance of its agenda will be treated as a terrorist, an enemy of the state – IGP declares

Following the declaration of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) as a terrorist group by the Federal High Court, Abuja and proscription order of the group obtained by the Federal Government, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu has officially declared that Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, led by Sheikh El-Zakzaky who is currently in detention proscribed and  all protests by the movement banned.

The IGP has also declared that anyone associated with the IMN or furtherance of its agenda will be treated as a terrorist and an enemy of the state.

The Federal Government had obtained an ex parte order to proscribe the group on Friday, July 26, 2019 and publishing the order in the official gazette was part of the court’s ruling.
