Access Bank

Access Bank Plc has posted a profit before tax (PBT) of N97.49 billion in six months as at June 30.

This was contained in the bank’s interim financial statement signed by the Company Secretary, Mr Sunday Ekwochi, posted on the website of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Ltd. on Thursday in Lagos.

The PBT represented a growth of 31.21 per cent compared to N74.30 billion in the corresponding period of 2020.

The statement said profit after tax (PAT) stood at N86.93 billion, against N61.03 billion in the comparative period of 2020.

The result also showed that Gross Earnings rose to N450.62 billion for the period under review as against N396.75 billion in the same period of 2020.

According to the statement, the Board of Directors has proposed an interim dividend of 30k per ordinary share of 50k each, against 25k paid in the corresponding period of 2020.
