24 ships discharge petroleum products, other goods in Lagos ports

A total of 24 ships have berthed at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos, discharging petroleum products and other commodities, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Friday.

Other commodities being discharged are bulk wheat, bulk salt, general cargoes, fresh fish, containers, bulk sugar, petrol, bulk gas, diesel, bulk urea and containers.

It said that nine other ships had arrived at the ports and were waiting to berth with bulk urea, crude oil, diesel, aviation fuel, gasoline, bulk fertilizer, general cargo and petrol

Forty six other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive in Lagos ports between Friday and June 19.

NPA said that the expected ships would deliver general cargoes, bulk urea, crude oil, bulk gas, bulk wheat, bulk millet, bulk sugar, condensate, aviation fuel, bulk salt and petrol.
