Yobe state

The Yobe State Coordination Office of the Qatar Charity Foundation has conducted the documentation of 100 orphans for the take-off of the newly constructed Qatar Junior Secondary School (Orphanage Centre) in Damaturu.

The exercise, which took place at the premises of the Special Adviser’s Office Complex in Damaturu, involved the screening of the orphans, taking their measurements for school uniforms, and capturing their biodata.

The State Coordinator of the Foundation, who also serves as the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs to Governor Mai Mala Buni, Ustaz Baba Gana M. Kyari, while addressing the orphans and their caregivers, urged them to give maximum cooperation to ensure the success of the exercise.

He thanked the Governor for giving him the chance to serve as the State Coordinator of the Charity Foundation in the state.

The Qatar Charity Foundation has been implementing several humanitarian projects across Nigeria, with Yobe State being one of the major beneficiaries, particularly in the area of welfare support for orphans and other vulnerable persons.

The take-off of the Qatar Orphanage Centre in Damaturu marks a significant milestone in the activities of the Foundation.
