The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has reaffirmed the party’s 60/40 leadership-sharing formula between the defectors and existing APC members in Kano State.

This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, in Kano on Monday.

Recall that Governor Abba Yusuf, formerly of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) recently defected with thousands of his party faithful to the APC.

Yilwatda, who spoke during a visit to Gov. Abba Yusuf, praised the unity and support shown by APC members in Kano, describing the turnout at a meeting as impressive and indicative of the party’s strength in the state.

He commended key party leaders, including Alhaji Yusuf Gawuna and Sen. Barau Jibrin, for supporting the Governor’s vision, and Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje for his invaluable contributions to the party’s growth.

Yusuf thanked the APC leadership for their visit, reaffirming his commitment to working with the party to promote unity and prosperity in Kano, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda .
