The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has directed the immediate closure of the secretariat of the dissolved Ad-hoc Committee on the Sales of Federal Government Houses (SFGH) in the FCT.

The directive was announced on Wednesday in Abuja via a statement by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communications and Social Media.

To ensure a smooth transition, Minister Wike approved the creation of a dedicated division within the Department of Land Administration to handle all remaining SFGH-related matters.

Members of the public were advised to direct all inquiries and business regarding the SFGH to the Department of Land Administration going forward.

The FCT Administration cautioned residents to beware of fraudsters claiming to represent the defunct ad-hoc committee or its secretariat, emphasizing that the committee and secretariat no longer exist.

“With the formal closure of the Secretariat, the general public is enjoined to henceforth approach the Department of Land Administration on all issues relating to SFGH in the territory,” Olayinka said.
