US embassy refutes reports it denied Oyedepo visa

The United States Mission in Nigeria has refuted reports that it has denied Bishop Oyedepo visa to America.

The Mission took to its Twitter handle @USEmbassyAbuja calling such information fake. “Alert! Be advised, the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Pastor, Bishop Oyedepo are false”.

“If you have seen this manufactured item in the media, help defeat this misinformation by communicating to everyone that it is completely false”, the embassy tweeted.

Meanwhile earlier today, a Nigerian newspaper had reported that the embassy denied Oyedepo visa on the grounds he did not qualify for a visa renewal after its assessment.

It also reported that the Bishop while querying the grounds for his refusal, created a scene at the Embassy.a.
