The second and third batches of Nigerians stranded as a result of the Russia-Ukraine war arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, through Poland and Hungary aboard Air Peace.

While the second batch of 180 Nigerians arrived by 6.30 pm Friday, barely 12 hours after the first batch arrived Abuja aboard MaxAir, the third batch arrived by 11.50pm Friday, this time from Budapest in Hungary.

This was announced by the Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) on its verifiedTwitter handle: @NigeriaGov @abikedabiri @toluogunlesi #NigeriansInUkraine #Ukraine https://t.co/bK70XgwJBb.

It stated that the second batch of Nigerians arrived at 6:30 pm local Nigerian time from Warsaw, Poland, on Friday. The returnees are made up of 180 adults and three infants.

Earlier on Friday, 450 Nigerians were repatriated from Ukraine through Romania with Max Air plane.
