Oya said that some of the suspects were arrested for alledged kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling and drug peddling, among other criminal acts.

He explained that other suspects were arrested over illegal possession of arms and ammunitions, adding that it rescued four kidnapped victims during the operation.

“Within the period under review, we neutralised four suspected bandits, arrested 73 suspects with arms and ammunition and 37 others for kidnapping.

“We rescued four kidnapped victims, arrested two suspected cattle rustlers and four suspected drugs peddlers.

“We prevented five attacks on vulnerable communities and promptly responded to 28 distress,” he said.
