Treasury House fire: Police to begin investigation into incident

Admin April 8, 2020

The Police in FCT says it will begin probe into the fire incident at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, in Abuja on Wednesday morning.

This was disclosed by the FCT police spokesman, Bala Ciroma.

“An investigation will be launched to ascertain the cause of the fire. The investigation will also give a deeper insight as to the extent of damage wreaked”, he said.

Channels Television reports that while the source of the fire remains unknown, casual workers in the complex say the Fire started at about 10:25am from the office of the Assistant Director, Capital, located on the fourth floor of the 5-storey building.

After some minutes of combating the fire, men of the Fire Service were able to contain the flames at the building which houses the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
