Tinubu renews tenure of 3 permanent secretaries

Admin March 6, 2026

Bola Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has approved the renewal of tenure for three Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service.

This is contained in a statement by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Eno Olotu, on Friday in Abuja.

The affected officials are, Ms. Kachallom Daju, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare; Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba, Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice; and Dr Mary Ogbe, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Regional Development.

According to her, the approval takes effect from April 27, 2026, adding that the renewal marks a second and final four-year term for the officials in line with Public Service Rule (PSR) 020909.

“The rule permits Permanent Secretaries an initial four-year term, with eligibility for a further four-year tenure subject to satisfactory performance,” she said.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, congratulated the officials on their reappointments.

Walson-Jack urged them to see the renewed mandate as a call to greater dedication and excellence in service delivery.

She also encouraged them to deploy their experiences and professional expertise in the effective discharge of their duties for the benefit of the nation.
