The Economist Nigeria Summit Gets More Endorsements, Osinbajo, Dangote, Wigwe, Others Headline Event

Admin February 19, 2016

The-Economist-logoAll is now set for The Economist summit on Nigeria scheduled to hold in Lagos Nigeria from March 7-8 2016 at the Intercontinental hotel Lagos as the event has received more endorsements from both the public and private sector. Nigeria’s authoritative magazine, Political Economist, is a media partner to the event expected to be a watering hole for the meeting of minds in both the public and organized private sector.

Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive Officer, Dangote Group, Wale Tinubu, Group Chief Executive, Oando, Herbert Wigwe, Chief Executive Officer, Access Bank, Yemi Osinbajo, Vice-President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, Governor, Borno State and more than 350 government representatives, industry and business leaders as well as members of Nigeria’s civil society would gather to interrogate the latest policy changes and their implications at this year’s summit.

The summit has the theme: The Dawn of a New Day! This year’s summit theme is timely; coming at a time when Nigeria is just transitioning to a newly democratically elected government. According to the Economist: “Nigeria summit has charted a country in the process of great transition; the year 2015 was particularly significant with the country making history in its presidential election and experiencing its first democratic power transfer. Nine months on from President Buhari taking office, The 2016 Nigeria Summit will bring key government ministries, industry and business leaders as well as representatives of Nigerian civil society; together with international investors, economists and academics to discuss and debate what the future holds for Nigeria and how the country can take its place among the world’s top emerging markets”.

There will however be keynote speeches, panel discussion and interview session with notable personalities.
