Less than 24 hours after terrorists bombed an Abuja to Kaduna train, another terrorists attack has been visited on a Kaduna to Abuja train leaving scores injured and many abducted.

This time, the terrorists were said to have attacked Gidan train Station along the Abuja-Kaduna rail track with explosives planted on the tracks forcing the train heading to Abuja from Kaduna to a stop.

This is the second attack within 24 hours along the same axis just as authorities of the Nigeria Railway Corporation and Kaduna State government were putting heads together to authenticate the exact level of casualties from the first attack on Monday night. At least seven persons were killed during the attack on Monday.

The Tuesday attack happened just as the Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba, Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, and top officials of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, visited the site of the Monday night terrorist attack at Dutse forest in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna.

The two service chiefs were received by the General Officer Commanding one, Mechanised Division of the Nigerian Army along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

Details of casualties on the second attack were sketchy as at press time.
