TD Africa, HMD global unveil Nokia T20 tab into the Nigerian market

HDM global on Tuesday launched the Nokia T20 tablet into the Nigerian market.

According to HDM global, being the licenced manufacturer of Nokia mobile devices and accessories, the Nokia T20 tablet brings the classic Nokia quality to the big screen, and helps you find better work-life balance.

Speaking at the unveiling of the product in Lagos at a press briefing, the marketing manager, West Africa, HMD global, Adetayo Obinaike, said the rationale behind the product goes beyond just having a phone.

“The year 2020 like we all know was the peak of the COVID-19 in most part of the world- there was the lockdown and there was the need for people to remain productive, and we realised there was an increase in the download of online meeting apps”.

“We realised that in as much as people want to get productive, this was better on a bigger screen. It was just ideal, and the right time of producing and coming out with a tablet”.

“So, we created HMD Global’s first-ever Nokia tablet to address people’s changing needs and their desire for versatile technology and features. Designed for work, learning and play”, Obinaike said.

Obinaike who further explained that the company builds its products around 3 pillars- making devices that people can love, keep and trust said the tab’s “crystal clear 2K screen lets you see both work presentations and movie marathons in stunning detail, and enhanced speakers and dual microphones help you hear and be heard better”.

“It is suitable for hybrid working and online learning, playing and it has a dedicated kiddies corner- with its significant entertainment hub”, Joseph Umunakwe, General manager, West East and central Africa said.

Umunakwe added that the tablet is Android enterprise recommended, “which means that companies, businesses can leverage enterprise mobility applications and manage the device remotely and centrally for their workforce.”

“Locally we have strong partnership with TD Africa – the best in the technology distribution space; and our key partner in Nigeria”.

On her part, Gozy Ijogun, CEO TD Africa said, “At TD Africa, we’re very selective about the brand we work with, and everyone knows Nokia is a global brand and the Nokia T20 tablet is the first of its kind at an extremely competitive price and amazing specifications.”

“Our goal is to ensure that the product is readily available across the country”.
