Stolen crude: Navy deactivates illegal refining site, intercepts wooden boat laden with drums of AGO in Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom

Operation DELTA SANITY, Forward Operating Base SOROH of the Nigerian Navy on Monday deactivated illegal refining site with about 10,750 litres of stolen Crude oil in Foropa, Bayelsa State.

The Navy disclosed this in a message on Monday.

In the same vein, it noted that the same Operation, Forward Operating Base IBAKA intercepted a wooden boat laden with 22 x 250ltrs drums of AGO and a 9.9hp YAMAHA outbound engine in James Town, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday, while also intercepting and arresting 2 suspects and a fibre boat laden with 38 bags of foreign rice being smuggled to Nigeria.
