The Lagos State Government, in partnership with Both Ends Believing (BEB), is set to develop a new software solution that will help children and juveniles integrate faster into society.

The Commissioner for Youth & Social Development, Mr. Bolaji Ogunlende disclosed this at a meeting between the Lagos Team and BEB on the sideline of the US-AFRICA Business Summit 2024 held recently in Dallas, Texas in the United States facilitated by Mr. Jermaine Sanwo-Olu, the SSA to Mr. Governor on Diaspora and Foreign Relations.

While noting that social inclusion and Youth Engagement are a pivotal part of the THEMES Plus Agenda, the Commissioner hinted that the Software is going to be developed in partnership with Both Ends Believing (BEB), a social enterprise based in the US focusing on building and managing a child welfare protection system.

Ogunlende said, “This software is mind-blowing and will help the children in Lagos State better integrated into the Society. This is something we need in Lagos. This is one of the ways we continue to implement the THEMES Plus Agenda which includes Youth Engagement, Social Inclusion and Gender Equality thus we are looking forward to this powerful partnership”.

Mr. Bruce Graham, the Chairman of Both Ends Believing (BEB) remarked that the revolutionary software that his company developed which is a Child Welfare Application cannot only store information about children but also synchronise those data for the use of orphanages, children’s homes and of government institutions,

Graham said, “We are working with Lagos and excited about the opportunity to see the application expand and help children and help the Ministry better manage the data they have on children”.
