Soccer roundup: Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham win big, AFCON openers end in draw

The top end of the log of English Premier League remains the same with Chelsea maintaining a bullish run winning away at Leicester 3-0. Arsenal and Tottenham also won with 4-0 margins against WestBrom and Swansea respectively. Full results of Saturday’s matches below:

 

Tottenham                4 – 0      West Brom

Burnley                        1 – 0                Southampton

Hull City                3 – 1        Bournemouth

Sunderland         1 – 3        Stoke City

Swansea              0 – 4        Arsenal

Watford               0 – 0        Middlesbrough

West Ham           3 – 0        Crystal Palace

Leicester              0 – 3        Chelsea

Also on Saturday, the first two matches at the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON) in Libreville, the Gabonese capital, all ended in 1-1 draw. In the first match, host nation Gabon were held by Guinea-Bissau, while in the second Cameroon found their early lead wiped out by Burkina Faso in the second half.
