Security Operatives Storm Ex-Customs Boss’, Inde, Abuja Home

Admin January 9, 2016

Customs boss Abdullahi DikkoIn a move which confirmed an earlier by Political Economist, security operatives on Friday morning besieged the Abuja residence of the immediate past Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Inde Abdullahi. Inde, according to sources was to be arrested to answer to some queries bordering on missing funds in the NCS which was unearthed by preliminary investigation.

Two lorry loads of security operatives surrounded the house located along Ahmed Musa Street, Jabi, Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to FrontiersNews, “We gathered that the operatives including stern-looking mobile policemen and officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission were with search warrant possibly to comb the house but Inde Abdullahi was said not to be in the country.

“The operatives thronged the ex-NCS boss with two Toyota Hiace truck with registration numbers RSH 555 AB and BWA 645 GA.

“The family members of the former Customs boss are currently been held hostage as no one is allowed to either enter or leave the house.

“Our sources could not state categorically why Inde Abdullahi’s residence was besieged by security operatives but it may not be unconnected with his activities during the over six years when he held sway as the boss of the ‘prime’ revenue agency of the government – The Nigerian Customs Service,” FrontiersNews stated.

It would be recalled that Inde Abdullahi voluntarily resigned his appointment few months into the current administration.
