The 72nd Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) hit a crescendo at the weekend with a harvest of miracles and incredible testimonies.
Themed HEAVEN, a total of 73 babies, comprising 39 boys and 34 girls, were born as at 6pm on Friday, announced the General Overseer of the global church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, a former mathematics professor who quit algebra and calculus to embrace preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Ahead of the ministration, many had testified of God’s manifestations in their lives with gifts of children after 22 years, another 17 years of marriage with no child. Some testified of healings from diverse kinds of illnesses.
Adeboye who had foretold of a great display of God’s power on Friday night earlier in the week had barely started his sermon when a section of the mammoth crowd in the Camp erupted in ecstasy as a man in crutches received his healing and was walking un-aided prompting those around him to break into riotous spasm of joy.
“This is a night you will live to remember for the rest of your life,” Pastor Adeboye, popularly called Daddy G.O, exclaimed as he prefaced his sermon with worship unto the Lord.
Using the scriptures (Isaiah 66:1), he established that God dwells in the Heaven from where He controls the earth (His foot stool).
It was a night in which God honoured His word as the globally respected preacher of holiness had barely done 8 minutes into his sermon when the Holy Spirit interjected with incisive words of knowledge, a gift Adeboye manifests in good measure anywhere he preaches.
And so, the week-long Convention climaxed with outpouring of words of knowledge and a rain of miracles, from salvation to restoration and replacement of dead organs in the body.
