YOUR PROMOTION TO MASTER WARRANT OFFICER WILL BE ON MERIT – GOC 3 DIVISION TELLS CANDIDATES

Admin September 19, 2023

Sept. 19, 2023

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar has told prospective Master Warrant Officers that only those who successfully passed the promotion board exercise will be elevated to the enviable rank.

The GOC/Commander OPSH revealed this when he addressed over 1,500 Warrant Officers currently undergoing promotion exercise at 3 Division Small Arms Range Miango, Jos.

Major General Abubakar who noted that, soldiers must always be at the top of their physical fitness applauded the board members for their diligence and ensuring no casualty was recorded so far.

He also assured of his continuous monitoring and improving on the facilities provided for the smooth conduct of the exercise in line with the high premium placed on administration by the Chief of Army Staff.

Speaking further, the GOC charged the candidates to remain disciplined, professional and resilient devoid of any action that will lead to their disqualification. “You must continue to uphold the tenets of the military profession.” he averred.

While thanking the Chief of Army Staff for approving all the needed requirements for the exercise, General AE Abubakar tasked the candidates to take pride in their chosen carrier. He revealed that, the exercise was a scoring process and only those who meet the high standards required will be considered.

Highlight of the visit was the address to the participants and inspection of the exercise and facilities.
