The Police Command in Kaduna State, said its operatives have rescued 10 kidnap victims in Kaduna.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the rescue in a statement issued on Friday in Kaduna.
Hassan said.

“In the month of May, unknown armed men numbering about fourteen (14) invaded Kushe Makaranta in Kagarko Local Government Area and kidnapped some residents, whom they whisked away to their hideout in a thick forest around Rijana community.”

He said upon the receipt of the unfortunate information, the command immediately intensified patrols and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.

Hassan said the sustained pressure from the police, military and DSS operatives forced the kidnappers to abandon the victims and escaped from their hideout.

According to him on Tuesday, at about 7:00 pm , police operatives successfully rescued the kidnapped victims, saying that all the victims were from Kushe Makaranta, Kagarko LGA.

Hassan said the victims were immediately taken to the Police Clinic for medical attention and after two days of observation and treatment, they were successfully reunited with their families.

He said that the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, has commended the operatives for their dedication and professionalism.

The commissioner reassured the public that the command remained resolute in its efforts to ensure the safety and security of all the residents and in fighting banditry in the state.
