Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have rescued the kidnapped Secretary of an Estate in Isheri area of the state, Dayo Adekoya and he has reunited with his family in the early hours of Monday.
He was kidnapped by gunmen numbering over 20, who also shot and killed three guards of the estate.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, confirmed the development in a text message to newsmen.
Owoseni warned criminals to stay away from the state, adding that the long arm of the law would eventually catch up with them.
Owoseni called for internal vigilance among Lagosians. He advised residents of the estate tucked away in a swampy area to at least erect a perimeter fence round their domain, stressing that citizens have a huge role to place in matters of internal security.
